TEAM BIO:

Astuti Motorsport was formed in 2003 by Sam Astuti to tackle the competitive world of Australian Formula 3 competition. With a long history of success in Formula 2, Formula Holden and F3 competition, Astuti placed together a competitive and professional team from the outset that has developed and evolved into its current form.

A step to championship class proved successful in 2004, the team gaining the services of gun youngster Ian Dyk to put forward a concerted championship challenge.

Dyk won three races and stood on the podium eight times en route to third in the championship, a season that included setting lap records and a staggering seven pole
positions.

2005 saw the team again lead the way, scoring early season success with Chris Alajajian and Aaron Caratti, before a late season flourish with current driver Michael Trimble saw two wins at the final round of the championship. In 2006 the team began it's first steps forward as a two-car team, purchasing another Renault-powered car mid way through the Gold Star season.

With Michael Trimble leading the way, Astuti Motorpsort had yet another strong season.

The team took yet another step forward in 2007, a thrilling season with British driver Charlie Hollings resulting in a top three championship position after a winner-take-all showdown at Oran Park.

Holings was arguably the quickest driver of the championship and was at the front in every round. He was the only driver to win both races in one round in the entire season, at Oran Park, in May.

Michael Trimble returned for two rounds and was immediately back on the pace, scoring pole position at Mallala and finishing on the podium several times.

Since its championship class debut in 2004, the team has won 11 races, scored 18 pole positions and placed drivers on the podium 28 times from 60 races – an impressive strike rate.

It's success in past seasons, and it's current standing as one of the most consistently professional and performing pro-teams in Australian Formula 3, Astuti Motorsport is poised for more success in the 2008 season as it also expands into GT racing.

Astuti Motorsport prides itself on being a professional organization committed to succeeding at the highest level.
