Josh Behn is the latest of a long list of young guns having their first taste of Formula 3 machinery at the final round of the Australian Formula 3 Premier Series at Wakefield Park this weekend.

Behn spent 9 years in karts where he was selected CAMS Elite Karting Academy where he caught the attention of Anglo Australian Motorsport moving up to Formula Ford Kent class.
This year Behn has been driving in the Australian Formula Ford Championship where he was able to put his Mygale on pole on the debut race (in round 2 of the National Series at Wakefield), Behn went on to claim 2x class wins, along with finishing 2nd in the State Championship.

“Formula 3 has always been appealing to me, the cars look and sound amazing, and they always seem to have the lap record at tracks everywhere I look.” Behn said. “I’m really looking forward to the experience, from the grip that the slicks and the aero makes, to the straight-line power and sequential gearbox from the motor.”

Next year, Behn would like to race in the National Formula Ford Championship in the Duratec championship, as well as driving in the National F3 Championship.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Terry and the team at Harvest Motorsport for the final round of the Formula 3 Championship.”
Cars hit the track for practice Friday before qualifying and race 1 Saturday.
